New wheelchair gives the beach back to people with disabilities

A motorcyclist who was severely injured in the 2010 Hobart beach tsunami has found a wheelchair with his face and hands restored.

Jason Foust suffered a fractured 퍼스트카지노jaw, broken neck and multiple broken vertebrae after he hit a giant boulder and toppled onto his back during the tsunami in the Indonesian town of Bali.

He was taken to a local rehabilitation centre, where doctors discovered the extent of his injuries.

His wife, Emma, says the recovery from the accident was almost instantaneous.

They found out after one of his doctors prescribed his brain tumour a round-the-clock operation to save his brain function.

Now he can use his wheelchair for walking as well as the motorcycling he was unable to perform before.

Jason said he was never afraid to put his life at risk in his quest for better mobility.

“I’ve got the biggest smile on my face ever and I feel really lucky, the doctors know that’s what got me out and that’s what got me out of there safely, they told me that and they treated it as just another day,” he said.

Jason’s recovery was aided by a device that allows him to use his right hand and fingers for a variety of tasks — from cleaning to cutting.

“This, I can do anything my body can to help me get back into normal daily life,” Mr Foust said.
